A Brief History of Matchmaking Matchmaking has been around for a very long time and the source of its origin dates back thousands of years. Unfortunately, like many wondrous bodies of knowledge, man chose to exploit it for purposes of ill will and all too often it fell into the hands of the elitist or less desirable. For hundreds of years it was used for purposes of mind control and thought reform, for convincing others that psychic powers were at work and to simply take advantage of others at the others' expense. Military Leaders, Rulers, Medieval Clergy, fortune tellers and psychic charlatans often enlisted the knowledge to maximize the outcome of their pursuit for very selfish reasons. And then there were those that truly sought to use it for purposes of making good business decisions in matters of survival and matrimony. Often times these were Kings and Queens needing to find a suitable suitor for their son or daughter. Great care was taken to make sure that neither were incompatible. All too often incompatibility resulted in the loss of territory, family feuds and at worst the collapse of a kingdom. When compatible relationships were arranged, kingdoms flourished and times evolved. Often times monarchs or emperors would look to their chief consult or clergy for this wisdom. This knowledge of human understanding provided a greater sense of reality and reasonable success. Likewise, it was this same sensitive language that assisted caveman in making the right choices for purposes of survival. Back then it would have been called "common sense" but today common sense looks nothing like its original understanding. It has become a socially imposed practical mode of respectable operandi dictated by society, instead of instinct, heart and reason. In short, the language has been forgotten. If everyone would learn this language and use it for the betterment of mankind, all that we perceive as unacceptable or challenging would be understood and less time would be spent in processing circumstances, leaving us more for loving our perfect mate and fulfilling our own life's very important purpose. portant purpose. |
